Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage and supervise all aspects of the Foundation’s activities with emphasis on growing the organization and identifying and cultivating major donors.
2. Organization: Recruit and supervise volunteers and employees to serve on the Programs, Administrative, and Fundraising Teams.
3. Programs: Develop, oversee, conduct, and measure effectiveness of programs, which help to attract new donors and retain current donors.
4. Act as a spokesperson for the Foundation in the media and in dealings with potential donors. Oversee, and execute Social Media communications plan. Lead the Foundation's efforts to enhance and expand its visibility.
5. Oversee financial, human resources and governance matters.
6. Finance and Records Management, Office operations.
a. Oversee office operations.
b. Oversee maintenance of data base of previous awardees'statistics (state, major, type of award, family AGI, and other pertinent data), and track graduation and career successes.
7. Development:
a. Manage and grow the Development Office and development operations.
b. Plan, organize, and execute fund raising events and fund-raising campaigns and campaign strategies. Grow the foundation by helping to secure Partners/Donors.
c. Develop and execute innovative ways to increase and manage donations.
d. Expand and manage current grant writing programs and methodologies.
8. Lead the organization in growing to the next level.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
1. Managerial and problem-solving expertise, with a track record of successfully building and retaining effective teams.
2. Strong knowledge of the greater military and academic communities, and secondary education financing methods.
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
4. Retired military or veteran or Military Spouse Experience preferred and are encouraged to apply.
5. Superb computer skills and knowledge of programs.
6. Experience with not-for-profit organizations.
7. Major donor identification and cultivation. Ability to network and expand our group of volunteers and supporters.
LOCATION REQUIREMENT
North Dallas, Texas metro area (Must reside in the metro area –there are no relocation expenses). Some minor travel involved.
