Business Development Director (BDD)

Overview
The Business Development Director is a senior “hunter-closer”role responsible for owning opportunities from discovery through close. This individual will focus on targeted prospecting, engaging senior decision-makers, and converting pipeline into revenue.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct highly targeted prospecting into enterprise and mid-market accounts
  • Engage C-level and VP-level stakeholders to uncover business needs
  • Lead discovery meetings and shape solutions aligned to client’s capabilities
  • Develop use cases and collaborate with internal teams (operations, solutions, leadership)
  • Own deal strategy, pipeline progression, and closing activities
  • Manage sales cadence including pipeline reviews, forecasting, and reporting
  • Adapt approach based on customer signals in a consultative, non-scripted sales process
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience with a strong record of closing net-new business
  • Experience selling services, technical solutions, or logistics-related offerings
  • Proven success managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Executive presence and strong communication skills
  • Experience in private equity-backed or fast-paced environments preferred
