Manufacturing Quality Leadership
- Lead and manage the Manufacturing Quality Assurance organization, including Quality Engineers, IPQC, OQC, and quality inspectors.
- Establish manufacturing quality strategies and objectives aligned with business and customer requirements.
- Drive a culture of quality excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Monitor and improve key quality metrics including FPY, PPM, DPPM, Yield, Scrap, Rework, and COPQ.
- Oversee in-process and outgoing quality control activities to ensure product conformity.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with approved specifications, control plans, work instructions, and customer requirements.
- Identify process risks and implement preventive measures to reduce quality escapes.
- Review and approve inspection standards, quality checklists, and manufacturing quality procedures.
- Lead root cause investigations using 8D, A3, Fishbone, 5-Why, and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal, supplier, and customer quality issues.
- Ensure timely closure and effectiveness verification of corrective actions.
- Partner with Engineering, Process Engineering, and Program Management teams during NPI activities.
- Support quality readiness reviews, pilot builds, process validations, and product transfers.
- Ensure PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and quality documentation are completed and maintained.
- Establish quality standards and acceptance criteria for new product launches.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (where applicable), customer-specific requirements, and internal Quality Management Systems.
- Support internal, external, customer, and certification audits.
- Drive audit findings to closure and maintain audit readiness.
- Ensure product traceability, document control, and quality records management.
- Develop and maintain quality dashboards and reporting systems.
- Utilize SPC, MSA, Cpk, GR&R, Pareto Analysis, and statistical tools to improve process capability.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma quality improvement initiatives.
- Drive productivity, quality, and cost reduction projects across manufacturing operations.
- Serve as a key escalation point for manufacturing quality concerns.
- Work closely with Customer Quality, QPM, and Reliability teams to address customer issues and field quality concerns.
- Participate in customer audits, business reviews, and quality meetings.
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality teams to improve incoming quality performance and supplier corrective actions.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop quality professionals.
- Establish training programs and competency development plans.
- Conduct performance management, succession planning, and talent development activities.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 12+ years of manufacturing quality experience in electronics, server, networking, power supply, or EMS manufacturing environments.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing quality teams.
- Experience supporting high-volume assembly manufacturing operations.
- Experience with NPI, production ramp-up, and factory startup environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of:
- ISO 9001

- Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans
- SPC, MSA, GR&R
- Lean Manufacturing
- Six Sigma
- 8D Problem Solving
- CAPA Processes
- Understanding of manufacturing processes for:
- Power Supply Units (PSU)
- Battery Backup Units (BBU)
- Electronics Assembly
- SMT, Box Build, and System Integration preferred
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer-facing abilities.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Results-oriented with a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), CQM, or Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Experience supporting hyperscale data center customers.
- Experience leading quality functions during factory startup or greenfield manufacturing expansion.
- Knowledge of server, networking, AI infrastructure, cloud computing, or power management products.
