HumCap’s client in electronic component manufacturing is seeking a highly experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics manufacturing and quality assurance, with expertise in industry standards and hands-on technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) and visual inspections on PCB assemblies and components.
- Review schematics, fabrication, assembly drawings, and Gerber files for compliance.
- Conduct statistical process control (SPC) and analyze KPIs to ensure quality performance.
- Program, debug, and repair Pick & Place machines, AOI systems (Automated optical inspection), and optimize X-ray and SPI equipment. (Serial Peripheral Interface)
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and ITAR regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain a team-oriented approach.
- Interface confidently with customers to address quality concerns and provide solutions.
- Education: High School Diploma required;BS degree preferred.
Candidates with 15+ years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. - Experience: 10–15 years in electronics manufacturing quality control.
- Certifications: IPC-610 required;IPC Trainer certification is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Artificial Intelligence tools.
- Ability to read and interpret component-level drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation.
- Strong knowledge of PCB components, SMT processing, and soldering techniques.
- Equipment Expertise:
- Must have experience programming and repairing Pick & Place, AOI, and X-ray/SPI systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Fluent in English.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Quality-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Experience with Gerber review and optimization.
- Familiarity with ITAR compliance and aerospace/medical device standards.
