Job Description

HumCap's client is seeking a Quality Engineer to help play a central part in maintaining the company's Quality Management System, leading internal and external audits, driving corrective action, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. What You'll Do
  • Maintain the Quality Management System per AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Lead internal audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors and the FAA.
  • Issue FAA Form 8130-3 to certify airworthiness and traceability.
  • Oversee calibration programs for precision equipment.
  • Develop quality plans and inspection criteria.
  • Lead root cause investigations for nonconformances using structured methodologies.
  • Manage Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Conduct Material Review Board activities on nonconforming materials.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum three years of manufacturing experience (aerospace preferred).
  • Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to interpret complex drawings.
  • Experience with 8D, FMEA, Minitab, or Net Inspect.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Digital literacy with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office, and QMS platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ISO 9001 or AS9100 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Knowledge of FAA Part 21 or Part 145.
  • Avionics or aerospace electronics experience.
  • REACH/RoHS compliance experience.
  • AS9102 and First Article Inspection experience.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
