The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Strategic National Accounts Leader to own and grow a portfolio of high value national customers. This role is highly visible and impactful, combining enterprise sales leadership, account strategy, project oversight, and people management. You will work cross functionally to drive revenue growth, strengthen long term partnerships, and align national accounts with regional execution.
 
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Leadership
  • Partner with executive sales leadership to identify, develop, and expand strategic national accounts
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customers’long term goals, challenges, and growth opportunities
  • Lead joint strategic account planning, including financial targets, milestones, and performance objectives
  • Own revenue, order booking, and P&L responsibility for assigned accounts
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews and comprehensive account assessments
  • Build executive level relationships and multi level engagement within customer organizations
Project & Account Management
  • Coordinate internal teams (sales, service, support, leadership) to deliver against account objectives
  • Lead execution of contracts, SLAs, renewals, and pricing initiatives
  • Oversee post sale follow up, billing accuracy, service delivery, and issue resolution
  • Manage forecasting, pipeline development, retention targets, and reporting accuracy
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly account reports, including forecasts, risks, opportunities, and market insights
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and support national account inside sales and business development teams
  • Align national account strategy with Regional Directors and Regional Sales Managers
  • Represent the organization at industry events, trade associations, and customer meetings
  • Share best practices, customer trends, and insights across the account management organization
People Management
  • Hire, coach, and develop inside sales and business development talent
  • Provide ongoing training in consultative selling, negotiation, and strategic account management
  • Monitor engagement and performance, driving accountability and growth
 
What You Bring
Experience & Skills
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B sales or account management, including National or Strategic Accounts
  • Proven success managing complex, multi stakeholder enterprise accounts
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior decision makers
  • Demonstrated success in large, complex deal negotiations and long sales cycles
  • Highly organized, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Confident, consultative leadership style with a passion for customer success
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related Technical & Business Acumen
  • CRM, pipeline management, and sales forecasting expertise (HubSpot experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of financials, profitability, and cash flow
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.G., Profit 21 preferred)
  • Advanced planning, forecasting, and strategic selling skills
